Adath Israel Congregation

What our client has to say

Need:          Outside facilitator for long-range planning

Service:     Long-range strategic planning

In preparation for a long-range strategic planning process, Adath Israel Congregation engaged Smith Beers Yunker & Company to assist with preliminary steps in the process.

Senior Counselor Kay Atkins facilitated a session with the Board of Trustees in which they engaged in exercises to identify strengths and weaknesses of the organization and better understand their needs. After the session, Smith Beers Yunker provided a written report to help guide Adath Israel leaders as they went forward with their planning.

Synagogue Administrator Rob Festenstein remarked that the group was well-served by the professional guidance provided by Smith Beers Yunker. “The board session and follow-up documentation were very helpful to us,” he said. “Having professional outside consultants involved at the beginning helped get us going in the right direction with this very important project.”

Rob stated further that the experience with Smith Beers Yunker was a very positive one “. . . well worth the investment.”

Adath Israel is a Conservative Jewish Congregation, located in Amberley Village, Ohio.  Congregants are supported during significant life cycle events, and in their journey to become more involved, knowledgeable, and spiritually involved Jews.  Extensive programming, inclusive of social action activities and educational learning, are integral components of this journey.  Founded in 1847, it is one of the oldest Conservative congregations in the country while concurrently meeting the needs of modern day Jews.
