Major responsibilities

  • Lead by example and support the experienced administrator and dedicated staff, fostering a positive culture of collaboration, compassion, and appreciative recognition.
  • Engage with the individuals served, families, guardians, and community partners to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Raise awareness and visibility of The Mount by building and sustaining collaborative initiatives throughout the region.
  • Nurture a strong and transparent relationship with the nine-member Board.
  • Implement Board-approved strategic initiatives to help build the future, enhance and expand services, and ensure staff retention and sustainability of The Mount.
  • Develop and execute cohesive marketing, branding, and fundraising programs.

 

Primary qualifications

  • Demonstrated relationship-driven leadership experience in a nonprofit I/DD setting.
  • Familiarity with complex ICF regulations, compliance, and Medicaid funding.
  • Evidence of strong interpersonal and communication skills as a community leader.
  • Desire and ability to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
  • Passion for serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Politically astute leader with analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding and appreciation of the region’s Appalachian culture.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to think “out of the box” to encourage the future vision.
  • Relevant academic degree(s), certifications, and /or professional organizations.

 

Attractive compensation

Commensurate with experience, starting salary range of $150,000 to $160,000. Three weeks’ vacation, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, seven paid holidays, and a 403b plan.
