Seeking Development Director

Position: Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with the Resource Development Committee (RDC), the Development Director is responsible for planning and implementing a multi-faceted development program, currently an annual fund, grants, wills and bequests program, and orchestrating development and fundraising activities and events. This is a growing program raising about $250,000 in gift support in FY 18.

 

Expectations: The successful candidate will bring at least five years of demonstrable nonprofit development and fundraising experience in raising friends and building gift and grant revenue with creative and diverse strategies.

 

Qualifications: A baccalaureate degree or applicable paid staff experience; an articulate communicator who can develop and deliver compelling cases for gift support; exemplary presentation, listening and communications skills; strong time-management skills; superior interpersonal skills; proficiency in Microsoft Suite, donor database, and social media platforms; strong administrative and organizational skills; ability to demonstrate assertively to staff, leadership volunteers and donors the essential traits of knowledge, confidence, warmth, and sincerity. Definite pluses – familiarity with legal and seniors issues and a sense of humor and curiosity.
