The RESPONSIBILITIES as a member of the Executive Team . . .  

  • Leading a finance team of five in developing and maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, individual skills, and effective team approach to work.
  • Planning, organizing, directing, controlling this transit agency’s financial accounting activities; analyzing revenues & expenses; reconciling balance sheet accounts; providing financial analysis, audit & guidance; assuring adequate internal controls, accurate record keeping & timely reporting in compliance with established laws, codes, regs & policies.
  • Developing, analyzing, and implementing financial policies and procedures, including reserve policies to ensure long-term fiscal viability and accountability.

The EXPECTATIONS of candidates include but are not limited to . . .  

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, public administration, or related field; CPA helpful
  • Ten years progressive accomplishment in public finance or accounting; in transit helpful
  • Proven track record living the highest ethical standards
  • Team leader with team-building skills
  • Demonstrated oral and written communicator
  • Sterling professional references attesting to proven track record
  • Commitment to public service

 

The BENEFITS of SARTA’s attractive compensation package include . . .

  • Starting annual salary range: $120K to $130K, commensurate with experience
  • Insurance: health, dental, vision, life and short-term disability
  • Retirement: OPERS with SARTA contributing the entire 24% of pay
  • Holidays: 5 traditional plus SARTA anniversary, birthday, and New Year’s Day
  • PTO: After first full year to 4 years, 19 days
